Support and Feature Requests
We use GitHub Issues to track bug reports, feature requests, and general support inquiries. To ensure a quick resolution, please follow the guidelines below before submitting an issue.
Before Opening an Issue
- Check Existing Issues: Search the Issues tab to see if your problem or suggestion has already been reported.
- Update the Plugin: Ensure you are using the latest version of the Private Comments plugin and WordPress core.
- Conflict Testing: Deactivate other plugins and switch to a default WordPress theme (like Twenty Twenty-Four) to confirm the issue is caused by this plugin.
Reporting a Bug
If you encounter a bug, please provide as much detail as possible to help us reproduce and fix it. Include the following in your report:
- Description: A clear and concise description of what the bug is.
- Steps to Reproduce: A step-by-step list of actions to trigger the issue.
- Expected Behavior: What you expected to happen.
- Actual Behavior: What actually happened (include error messages if applicable).
- Environment Info:
- WordPress version
- PHP version
- Plugin version
- Active Theme
Requesting Features
We welcome suggestions for new features or improvements. When requesting a feature, please include:
- The Goal: What do you want to achieve?
- The Use Case: Why would this feature be useful for you and other users?
- Proposed Implementation (Optional): If you have thoughts on how the feature should look or behave within the WordPress admin dashboard.
